Circle Casting

Ingredients/Objects

  1. Salt(of the Earth) in a bowl
  2. Water(of Water) in a bowl
  3. Sage Bundle(of fire and air)
  4. A match or a lighter
Water is a psychic element; it absorbs or picks up all energies, because of this we should cleanse or exercise the water.
  • Take your wand or athame and place the tip into the bowl of water
  • Visualize the energy flowing throughout your body, right out of your wand or athame, directly into the bowl
Verbalize:
"I exercise thee, oh creature of water, let there be no unwanted energy contained within thee. In the names of the Lady and Lord, so mote it be."

Salt does not need to be cleansed, though it should be blessed
  • Take your wand or athame and place the tip into the bowl of salt
  • Visualize the energy flowing throughout your body, right out of your wand or athame, directly into the bowl
Verbalize:
"I bless thee, oh creature of salt, in the names of the Lady and Lord; enrich, bless, and ground this ritual. So mote it be."

After cleansing and blessing the salt and water, combine the two using your wand or athame to mix them.

Then stand facing the North and proceed to turn clockwise while sprinkling the mixture to cleanse the area.

Once finished with the salt and water pick up your sage bundle and again stand facing the North and proceed to turn clockwise again while fanning the smoke, also to cleanse the area.

The circle has now been cleansed with all four elements.

Next, pick up your wand or athame and again stand facing the North. Channel energy from all around you.
  • Point your wand or athame ahead of you slightly above your head and verbalize:
"By the Earth that is her body"
  • Continue to turn clockwise. Once at the East verbalize:
"By the air that is her breath"
  • Continue to turn clockwise. Once at the South verbalize:
"By the fire that is her bright spirit"
  • Continue to turn clockwise. Once at the West verbalize
"By the water that is her everlasting womb"
  • When you come back to the North position verbalize:
"This circle is now cast. So mote it be"

Your circle is complete.
